>We are very excited. Like,"little kids at the big table " excited.

Why? Because Rescued Hearts, the documentary that has been touching horse lovers around the globe, is coming to you exactly how we experienced it: as a shared, heart-opening event  EXCEPT you can now watch the first part from the comfort of your own home.

Whether you are an equine-assisted professional, a lifelong horse person, or someone who simply feels better when you look at a horse, this film is for you.

Why Rescued Hearts Hit Us So Deeply

As horse people, we already know how powerful horses are. We know:

  • How they calm us
  • How they make us feel seen and worthy
  • How they help us move forward when words fall short

But to see all of that captured in a feature-length film is a completely different experience. Rescued Hearts showcases many different equine-assisted modalities from around the world. It does not push one "right way" of doing this work. Instead, it highlights the one thing that unites us all:

The horse is the powerhouse behind human healing.

Through stories, science, and real-life moments, you see how horses help people reclaim parts of themselves they thought were gone. It is emotional, wholesome, validating, and deeply grounding. You don't just watch people change. You feel it.

How It All Started: A Video, A Message, And Soul Sisters

Our connection with Dana and Krisanna began the modern way: on social media. We saw them online and were immediately drawn to how clearly they put horse welfare first. That matters to us. A lot. We don't partner with just anyone. We partner with people and organizations who are committed to honoring horses as teachers, not tools.

So we made a video for them, tossed it up on YouTube, and sent it off. Within minutes, they wrote back:

"Hey, we want to meet you gals."
That first Zoom call was supposed to be a simple "let's talk logistics." Instead, it turned into almost two hours of laughing, sharing, and feeling like we'd known each other forever. It was one of those soul-sister, kismet connections that you don't plan, but you're very grateful for.

Dinner, Horses, And A Chef Who Knew He Was Cooking For Movie Stars

The night before the screening, Dana and Krisanna flew in. Instead of meeting in a noisy restaurant, we invited them out to Kari's home and hired a private chef, Paul, to cook for everyone.

Before the food, of course, we went straight to the horses. They met Lola, one of our beloved equine teachers. A client actually pointed out later that the horse in the Rescued Hearts poster looks a lot like her. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Lola, true to form, was fully in. She politely moved the other horses off and claimed her time with the girls.

Inside, Chef Paul was beside himself with excitement. He knew he was cooking for filmmakers from the USA, but he didn't quite grasp what kind of film until he met them. By the end of the night, he was asking for autographs, taking photos, and bringing his wife Grace into the fun.

Around the table sat:

  • Dana and Krisanna
  • Kari and Carolyn
  • Kari's daughters, Karsyn, Rylie, and Raegyn
  • Chef Paul and Grace doing their magic in the kitchen!

We laughed, cried, told stories, and shared from the heart. It felt less like "meeting new people" and more like a reunion of old friends. That connection, that ease, is the same energy you feel coming through the film.

The Screening: A Small-Town Theater, A Global Message

The next day, it was showtime. Our little Joyland Theatre, in our little Alberta town, held a message big enough for the world. The theater filled. People arrived with open hearts, curiosity, and tissues (which, trust us, you will need).

By the end, many people said they felt:

  • Seen and validated in the work they do with horses
  • Newly aware of just how much horses can impact human lives
  • Inspired to share this understanding with family, friends, and clients

And now, that same experience is coming to you virtually.

Why You Need To See This Film (Even If You "Already Know" Horses Heal)

Maybe you already work in equine-assisted learning or therapy. Maybe you've spent a lifetime around horses. You might be thinking: "I already know horses heal. I already know their hearts are powerful."

Yes, you do. But seeing it laid out, woven with research, science, story, and lived experience, does something different.

Rescued Hearts can help you:

  • Put words to what you feel but struggle to explain
  • Validate your calling if you are already in this field
  • Inspire your next step if you feel pulled to work with horses but are not sure how

As one voice in the film says, sometimes a horse is the only safe space in someone's life. Another reminds us that even when it looks like "nothing" is happening, everything is happening.

This is not fluff. It is lived experience backed by research, including what we know from HeartMath and other studies about coherence and the unique physiology of horses.

It is, quite literally, heart work.

Share The Movement

This film isn't backed by a giant studio. It's the work of two women, Dana and Krisanna, who poured their hearts, time, and resources into telling these stories so the world could understand what horses truly do for us.

They are not selling it to Netflix. They are offering it as a gift, a guide, and a bridge between horses and humans. You can help by:

  • Watching the film
  • Sharing the link
  • Inviting others to join you

Whether you are in Texas, Switzerland, Regina, or somewhere in between, you can be part of this. For five dollars, you won't just be watching a movie. You'll be connecting your heart to theirs, and to the hearts of horses everywhere.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. And from our herd to yours thank you for loving horses the way you do.
